The Story

These Kentucky Derby Notecards by Kayla W. Nord are a great way to say something special to a loved one. Send a piece of art this Derby Season with these 5.5" x 4.25" notecards. Available in a set of 5. Inside is blank, so that plenty of room for your special message.

From Kayla:

I draw my inspiration from the world around me and I love showing the beauty of Kentucky and places from our travels. I paint many vibrant Kentucky scenes, horses, flowers and abstracts in a mixture of realism and impressionism.

My favorite media is acrylic, but I do some work in watercolor depending on the subject matter. I am constantly drawn to bright and vibrant color palettes and I love to layer the acrylic paint to create texture. My paintings always show movement through abstracted brushstrokes, combined with quick marks made by sennelier oil pastels.
